The Yarra Trio are proud to announce their support of two charities for 2008.

The Royal Children’s Hospital - Hush - Music for Sick Kids

The Yarra Trio are dedicated to continuing to work with Hush - Music for Sick Kids Auxiliary at the Royal Children’s Hospital in 2008. Hush works to raise money to fund music therapy and pain management in the Hospital. The Auxiliary is run by a dedicated team of doctors and volunteers headed by Dr. Cathy Crock.

The Yarra Trio’s Royal Children’s Hospital Gala on the 4 September held at The Blue Diamond was a major success with the evening completely sold out. The Yarra Trio are pleased to announce $7500 was raised for pain management at The Royal Children’s Hospital.

At their upcoming concert on the 6 December at 45 downstairs there will also be a silent auction of a dinner for two with the members of The Yarra Trio. All proceeds from this auction will go directly to HUSH.

The Yarra Trio

A dynamic piano trio of young musicians is taking Australia by storm. The Yarra Trio consists of Jess Ipkendanz (violin), Chris Howlett (Cello) and Stefan Cassomenos (piano).

May 28 - INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS - The Yarra Trio are thrilled to report they made the final (top four) of the 2009 “Trio di Trieste” International Competition in Italy, and won the North Trieste Rotary Club Special Award for the best performance of the contemporary set work

April 1 - COFFEE CONCERT - The Yarra Trio Coffee Concert 1 will be held at the Australian National Academy of Music at 530 pm on Monday April 27 2009. This is a free concert for 2009 ticket holders and we look forward meeting you afterwards while enjoying a cup of Bio Bean Coffee.
